Yelloway Coaches have multiple systems in place with CheckedSafe, number 1 being our driver walk round check facility, this gives us a bespoke template for our driver’s to follow when conducting a walk round check, we can tailor this to suit not only our needs as a business but the requirements of the Earned Recognition programme as this changes year on year and thanks to the flexibility of CheckedSafe the platform has the ability to adapt and change too. 

The solution

The application offers our drivers the ability to defect vehicles in real time and provide photos and detailed reports whilst out on the road to assist us in handling situations promptly and effectively, the transition from paper defects to the digital platform was effortless and fully support by all the team at CheckedSafe. 

The 2nd system we use is the maintenance system which offers the maintenance planning system, PMI template, wheel torque procedure templates and much more, the PMI templates can again be bespoke to your requirements as can the planner, photos can be provided when engineers find defects to back up repairs and faults, time stamping and GPS location can also offer that peace of mind knowing checks are being carried out in the correct location and time frame required.  

The 3rd system we use is the licence checking facility, this again is integrated into the CheckedSafe app and provides us as a company with accurate and up to date licence information on all our staff including points, offences, dates and provides a risk score too, the service is super easy to sign up to and takes minutes with an instant response too. 

Overall the benefits of CheckedSafe are overwhelmingly positive as the system provides peace of mind ensuring all aspects are covered and we for one are proud to be onboard with CheckedSafe.  

Back in 2021 we embarked on the Earned Recognition journey, we received the requirements and the work book and found we met the majority of the requirements immediately and this was down to a mix of reasons, 1 being our amazing staff here at Yelloway, 2 being our amazing MOT pass rate and number 3 being the CheckedSafe application and the variety it offers, obviously being a customer for 3 years already at that point we was well established with the system and that provided us with a great history which is required under Earned Recognition requirements, in January 2022 with help from the auditing company recommended by Gary (Founder & Director) of CheckedSafe we was able to pass our Earned Recognition Audit, this was further assisted in 2024 when we passed our 2 yearly audit to remain part of the Earned Recognition programme. 

I do believe CheckedSafe has played a large part in our company development and also our Earned Recognition journey to which we are thankful for.
